Dentist in athens, TX

Dr. Allen grew up with a hometown dentist who inspired him to be a smile maker. He headed off to Baylor University, Baylor College of Dentistry, and eventually came back to East Texas. He took over a practice in Athens over two decades ago and Allen Family Dentistry was born. Today he and his wife Brittany run three locations together.

He holds a Fellowship and Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry, earned through more than 1,100 hours of continuing education. Driven by his faith, he also directs the dental clinic at the Bullard Mission House and makes annual mission trips to Romania. Outside the office, he loves family time, golfing, hunting, and boating.

Before dentistry, Dr. Tucker worked at a pediatric oncology lab and as a primate zookeeper at the Dallas Zoo. The first dental procedure she witnessed was a root canal on a tiger. She eventually went back to school, earned her DDS from Texas A&M College of Dentistry, and brought her scientific curiosity into caring for people.

She's currently working toward her Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry and stays active in the Spear Study Club. When she's not serving patients, she's spending time with her family, training for a 260-mile canoe and kayak race, visiting National Parks, or deep in a Sci-Fi audiobook.

Dr. Copeland joined Allen Family Dentistry straight out of dental school. It was her first job and she loved it so much, she stayed. A Texas A&M College of Dentistry graduate, she's served on mission trips to rural Texas and Jamaica and stays current through the Spear Study Club and her AGD membership.

Beyond dentistry, she's a devoted cat mom to three rescues and a fan of live music. Weekends usually involve the lake, a good meal, or a festival worth the drive.
